Dr. Deanna Taylor
Board Chair
Dr. Taylor is the founder of Interactive Learning Solutions LLC (ILS), a firm established in 2018 to address the skills students and educators need to continuously support the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields. She is an educator with over 19 years of experience. Her certification includes the areas of educational leadership and science. As an active member of the community she is involved in non-profit work, service projects and community enrichment activities. She received her Doctorate of Education in Organizational Leadership and her Masters of Education in Educational Administration from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. Her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology was earned at Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia. She and her husband are very passionate about the benefits of providing engaging learning opportunities for their two children both in school and as a family.

Crystal J. Mallner
Vice-Chair
Crystal Mallner resides in Elgin with her husband Aaron, and her three children: Dominic (5), Benedict (4), and Gemma (1). Dominic and Benedict are students at MSC. Crystal has an extensive background in education as she has been teaching psychology at the college level since 2006. She has taught at East Carolina University, Midlands Technical College, and is currently at Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College. Crystal has also served as Dean of the Online College and Dean of Teaching, Learning, & Assessment at OCTECH. She is currently serving as the Board VP and hopes to continue to share her passion for quality education with the staff, students, and families.

Tyler Feldt
Treasurer
My name is Tyler Feldt and I grew up in Irmo SC. I studied International Business and Accounting at USC before working for Sonoco Products Company. In my stint with Sonoco I have worked in Chicago and Memphis prior to returning to SC to work out of the Hartsville office as a Financial Analyst. My wife, Laine, is a nurse and we have two kids, William "Wells" in Toddler A and and Sullin in Casa B, who started attending MSC in early 2023. I am currently serving as a MSC board member and incoming treasurer.

Simon Booth
Representative
I was born in England and then moved to South Africa. Moved to the US at 20 to Denver, CO. Started out in banking and then went into mortgage origination. Had my own mortgage company for 6 years then changed direction and went into Telecommunications. Been in this industry for over 15 years. I started my own Telco 7 yrs ago. I enhance an existing provider’s bottom line through existing revenue streams. I have 3 children. 20, 15, and 7. We currently home school our middle child.

Jose Garcia
Representative
Jose was born in Texas to an Army family that traveled the world. Fort Jackson, South Carolina would be their last duty assignment. Jose began his military career Active-Duty Army in 1987. Currently, Jose works as a Senior Data Integrity Specialist for Absolute Total Care. He is working on a degree in Integrated Information Technology from the University of South Carolina. Jose is a passionate supporter of the University of South Carolina Athletics and veterans’ programs. He and his wife Rachel share a daughter, Savannah, who has attended MSC for five years. Jose’s dedication to the school led him to serve on the MSC board from 2021-2023. It would be his honor to serve again, supporting students, staff and their families as the school continues on the path to excellence.

Dr. Kimberly Green
Representative
Education:
Undergraduate degrees in Accounting and Business Management from Limestone, MBA in Management from Strayer University, and a Doctorate in Strategic Leadership from Regent University
Professions:
Two decades of direct experience in finance and information technology, with public and private sectors, centered on my passion for education for the past 17 years. (both K12 and Higher education).

Shennaya Pons
Representative
Shennaya and her spouse relocated to South Carolina in 2014 after her husband’s service in the United States Army.
Shennaya is well traveled and educated, graduating with Honors holding a Masters in Criminal Justice Specializing in Forensic Psychology. Shennaya enjoys staying current by Continuing Education and is looking forward to getting her PhD.
Shennaya's government employment career began with the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice. She is now entering her 8th year of employment with the South Carolina Department of Social Services. In spite of having had offers of career advancement that match her aspirations, she has chosen to put those desires on the backburner for a while longer allowing her to have more availability and energy for her son.
Shennaya's passions include her faith, family, writing, travel, education, and advocating for and protecting the vulnerable.

Jennifer A. Thomas
Representative
Jennifer A. Thomas is currently the State Director of South Carolina for Cognia, Inc., the world's largest accrediting agency in the United States and 96 countries. She leads and provides overall management, support, guidance, and quality services related to accreditation and certification in South Carolina. Ms. Thomas' professional career spans over 32 years in the Education and the Accreditation field. Her experiences include teaching elementary and special education, being the director of education, and being an accreditation specialist with the United States Army Reserve Family Programs. Jennifer earned a dual Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Special Education from Green Mountain College in Vermont. She has also earned her Green Belt in Six Sigma from Villanova University and became an Honored Listee of Marquis Who's Who in America in 2023.
